Wonder Woman #23.2: First Born Review

First born, but not loved.

Brian Azzarello is a wonderful writer, and Wonder Woman really is one of the best New 52 series ever.  However, it seems like Azzarello’s title is always exist in its own universe, and nothing to do with other titles.  This issue is the same as always, but I don’t mind.  It’s a great chance to take a break from all the Forever Evil stories, and a great chance to understand a great villain better.

We look deeper into First Born’s past and understand why he’s abandoned and he goes through to be the way he is.  The story gives First Born a sympathetic take, and perhaps First Born is the rightful king of Olympia.  I also really enjoy Azzarello’s choice of narration.  Having young girls telling the story is really funny.

A great issue for us to look forward to what’s coming next in Wonder Woman.
