Battle of the Atom part 10 of 10.
Yep, just like I suspected, X-Men: Battle of the Atom ended horribly. Everything feels rushed, and we don’t have an answer at all. At the end, we still don’t know how the original X-Men being in the present day affects the future.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s clear what happened to the future. President Dazzler died and everything, but it’s not clear how this has anything to do with original X-Men at all. The event started full of promises, but at the end it seems like a cheap event Marvel throws out at the last seconds.
Just like every crossover events, this issue focuses on setting up future storylines. Kitty Pryde cannot stand the distrust in Jean Grey School, so she’s taking the original X-Men and herself over to the New Xavier School. I don’t know how I feel about this, but I’m definitely looking forward to this unfold.
The future Brotherhood is still hiding in the present somewhere, including the newly crippled Xavier grandson. They better not have some stupid identity issue story later where this Xavier somehow become our new Xavier or something. No one truly dies in comic I supposed.
