X-Men #7 Review

A new Lady Deathstrike is in town.

Lady Deathstrike returns and with a new body!  Last we seen her, she becomes a memory on data, and needs a host to function normally.  It’s really cool to see her returning, and the new host Ana Cortes is an interesting character.  Top it all, the issue focuses on two characters Karima Shapindar and Monet.

It’s interesting to add Karima and Monet into the main focus of the series.  The series is about the female members of X-Men, and it’s great to see Brian Wood taking the advantages of this.  The character relations are fun, and it’s funny to see Jubilee’s rivalry with Monet.

Wood is a great writer, and it feels like he’s waiting to write this story, but Battle of the Atom was in the way.  Now he’s free to do what he wants again, the series is going to be break with brand-new stories.
