News got out yesterday that Gal Gadot is going to play Wonder Woman in Zach Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs. Superman film. While many are okay with the decision, others think there are always better choices. Personally, I want Jamie Alexander to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming film, but I’m willing to give Gadot the benefit of the doubt. She’s a good actress, and she definitely has the look for our Amazon goddess. My only problem with her is that she might be a little too skinny for the role. Time to get some muscles, girl!
That said, there are still things I expect to see from Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. A little personal wishlist, but it’s definitely things to make Wonder Woman’s first big screen debut a success.
1. The Outfit:
I want the Wonder Woman outfit to be classic! None with leather jacket, and no pants either. Just the one piece, plus boots, plus tiara and bracelets. DC learned their lesson from before when they decided to give Wonder Woman a leather jacket, and things didn’t turn out too well. Now they have the right idea to keep things simple when New 52 launch, I only hope the movie will do the same as well.
2. The Weapons:
Her sword, the lasso of truth and bullet-proof bracelets, I want to see all of them make good uses in the film. Forcing someone to tell the truth with her lasso can both be funny and useful and the same time, and I want to see her deflecting bullets with those bracelets. There are so many things she can do with her weapons, it would be a shame to see those go to waste.
3. The Romances:
Classic DC fans know the relationship between Batman and Wonder Woman, but newer fans will be familiar with the recent relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman. While the Man of Steel Superman clearly has something going on with Lois Lane, it would be interesting to see him has something going on with Wonder Woman as well. Personally, I’m a big fan of Batman with Wonder Woman. The two are cute together, don’t you think?
4. The Trinity:
Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are the Trinity of DC comics, and I want to see the movie Wonder Woman earning that title! Superman represents the strength, Batman is the brain, and Wonder Woman is the empathy. She is a graceful goddess that has the ability to love everyone equally. At the same time, she’s also a prideful warrior that never backs down from a fight. Most writers tend to forget how complex the character is, and she usually comes out one dimensional. It’s a difficult task, but if pulled off, this might just be the best thing for Wonder Woman yet.
5. The Invisible Jet:
What can I say? I ran out of things to say. But if they can make this thing cool, why not.
