Wolverine and the X-Men #1 Review

School starts already.

The original Wolverine and the X-Men run comes to an end last week, and the new one, with a different creative team, launches this week already.  The new series does a good job following the previous one’s footsteps, and I really like the tone already.

Wolverine and the X-Men is a series mainly focusing on the students of the Jean-Grey School, and I’m glad to see the new creative team does the same.  The coolest thing this issue has to be that Quentin Quire becoming a teacher’s assistance.  He’s perhaps the most famous mutant introduced in early 2000s, so it’s good to see him receiving more spotlights.  At the same time, it’s cool to see Genesis back again.  He’s most likely going to be the center of the new series as he’s both in present, and as a villain in the future.

Despite the series called Wolverine and the X-Men, the Wolverine part of the story is the weakest.  I don’t really care what kind of mission he’s doing, unless he’s doing it with the students.  Heck, if I want to read Wolverine on his adventure doing god knows what, I would be reading Wolverine, or Amazing X-Men instead.

Anyway, welcome back to school mutant students.  Can’t wait to see what adventures are to come.
